The Hymns of the Resurrection sung in every Orthodox and Byzantine Catholic Church today:
November 5, 2017
Twenty-Second Sunday After Pentecost
Let us, O faithful, praise and worship the Word *
Who, with the Father and the Spirit, is without beginning, *
and Who was born from the Virgin for our salvation, *
for He was well pleased to ascend the Cross in the flesh and to endure death, *
and to raise the dead by His glorious Resurrection.
(Troparion, Tone 5)
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
now and ever and to the ages of ages.
O my Savior, You descended into Hades, *
and, having broken its gates as the All-Powerful, You, as Creator, raised up the dead with You; *
and, You broke the sting of death, and delivered Adam from the curse, O Lover of Mankind. *
Therefore, we all cry out to You: “O Lord, save us!”
