Tomorrow starts the 2016 World Cup of Hockey.

This is what used to called the Canada Cup. It's been kind of stolen by the NHL and while it should be a decent tournament, it's largely a marketing ploy to get people exposure to the upcoming NHL season.

Team USA kicks off the tournament by playing Team Europe (a conglomeration of players from Germany, Slovakia, Belgium, Austria, etc.) at 2:00.

All games will be on ESPN or ESPN2.

Tough start for Team USA. Many shots but nothing in the net.

Islanders goalie Jaroslav Halak stopped all 35 shots, leading Team Europe to a 3-0 victory over Team USA in the opening game of the 2016 World Cup of Hockey.
