If your product has no positive aspects or plans to extol, one must resort to negative attacks based on inferred, unverifiable reports from un-named sources to cast your competitor in an unfavorable light. Drumpf has demonstrated his predeliction for this style of campaigning. I don't expect him to change despite the encouragement from principal Priebus to gather the tribe in agreement with the 'presumptive' nominee in solidarity behind the Donald. It's a sad state of affairs for the Republican Party that has been torn to shreds by infighting.
Clinton will be attacked mercilessly by Drumpf and the Republican Party, for her server, the Benghazi attack, and anything else they can drudge (pun intended) up to make her look like Cruella de Vil. Unfortunately, they have been investigating her involvement in those incidents ad nauseum and still have no verifiable proof of wrong doing. Her campaign will be well prepared to defend her in these issues. If they attack her for being a tax & spend liberal in favor of big government with close ties to Wall Street, all that needs to be done is highlight the Donald's past positions concerning those issues.
Believe me, I first voted in the screwed up 1968 presidential election, and I thought that was bad. I had no idea how things would decline with the two major parties dividing up the nation with gerrymandering, divisive purely emotional politically partisan issues, nasty biased personal attacks, all designed to garner power for their preferred party. I want them to get back to governance of the nation. Something has to change and, from my perspective, neither Drumpf nor Clinton have the ability to compromise, the independence of original thought, the intelligence, nor the intestinal fortitude to initiate those needed changes.

I agree, Ron. If, when your candidate is taken to task, your only response is point out the flaws of the opposing candidate,,,, well it's a tacit admission that your guy is awful.

Can't agree more.
This is why I will not vote for either of them in November. Thanks to Tennyson for the information on Gary Johnson. I researched his positions and if he is on the ballot in November, he will receive my vote.

His new book will be "Insulting your way to the Presidency" !

I hope we're not in for another election of, "My guy might suck, but yours sucks more"!

So when factual information that is negative for the Clinton campaign is posted it's an "attack" against Clinton? Clinton put her self in the mess she is in over the server and classified e mails.
My post:
The TRUE disgrace is a Presidential candidate. Hillary Clinton who is under an active FBI criminal investigation. Has there ever been a time when a candidate for president is being investigated by the FBI while running for office? Shameful conduct that placed over 2000 classified e-mail on a unclassified server!
"It has been more than a year since the infamous news conference at the United Nations, at which Hillary Clinton falsely asserted," “I did not email any classified material to anyone on my email. There is no classified material.”

You missed my point. When faced with a thread critical of Donald Trump, you immediately spun it into an attack on Hillary Clinton. If you think Trump's conduct is acceptable, please argue that. Don't change the subject. And there really is no need to repeat the same post.
Tennyson started this thread to discuss Trump's conduct in this campaign. So, I think that we should discuss that here.
I don't think that it s right to hijack the thread, on the third post no less, onto the topic of Hillary Clinton's emails.
It's disrespectful to the thread starter, and I just don't think that it is proper to do.
If you wish to have a conversation about Clinton's emails, the appropriate thing to do would be to start a new thread.

I don't think this is the year for a protest vote or non-vote. Do you want 4 more years of Obama polices?
I don't think you do but that is what will happen with a protest vote. Johnson will never be president.
Actually the effect of this election will be much longer with Supreme court nominee's that will be submitted.
Just throwing this out for your consideration. It's 6 months till the election lots can change by then.

NO, he will go after Bill as well (guilt by association) .
As far as Clinton's emails. So far NONE of the emails sent were classified as SECRET at the time they were sent. So far the issue is a non-issue in that sense. Should she have had the good sense not to use her private email server - most certainly.
Strange that the FBI would have so many agents investigating a non-issue?
And I wonder why they would give immunity to the guy who set the server up in Clinton's home.
That sure does not sound like a non-issue to me. There were over 2000 classified e-mail sent across that server.
“You know, you’ve said many times that the emails were not marked classified. The non-disclosure agreement you signed as secretary of state says that that’s really not that relevant. It says classified information is marked or unmarked classified and that all of you are trained to treat all of that sensitively and should know the difference.”
