FDIC Admits To Strangling Legal Gun Stores Banking Relationships

The U.S. federal bureaucracy doesn’t often admit wrongdoing. This time it took a change in the political landscape, many businesses threatening legal action and a congressman with a background in banking to force the bureaucracy to admit to misconduct and to stop financial attacks on legal businesses that the Obama administration deems to be politically incorrect.

“The FDIC has allowed a culture within their agency to blossom that they believe it’s okay to impose their personal opinions and value system in a regulatory way. They are not a regulatory police—their job is to enforce the law.”

Are you suggesting that it's difficult to buy a gun in this country?

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

You might want to read the story?
Just more of the same illegal behavior from the Obama administration!

Re: FDIC Admits To Strangling Legal Gun Stores Banking Relationships

When you read the article and follow the reports (ie The Darrell Issa report), his problem is more of the Operation Choke Hold targeting the payday loan industry. You can decide for yourself whether this legally should be a target (vs a group like Consumer Protection agency) looking into this. But my point is that the gun issue is secondary to what Issa was concerned with.

BTW and FWIW, I personally DO despise the payday loan industry as I believe them to be vultures on the
average person.

Another BTW, is that Frank Minter is only a commentor that Forbes uses and if you read the disclaimers about commentators and track his history (do the FOLLOW on the site and then read his BIO) you will understand some of the slant of his article.

I noted that many of these payday lending vultures set up just outside a military bases.  Interesting.

Aren't payday loan companies forbidden to loan to active duty service members?

I thought they were in at least some states.

Maybe in some states, CT.  Nevertheless, a despicable practice no matter where they operate and/or set up shop.
