    Explaining tax rates before Reagan to 5th graders: “Imagine if you did chores for your grandma and she gave you $10.  When you got home, your parents took $7 from you.”  The students said: “That’s not fair!” Even 5th graders get it.

    It goes more like this, Scott.
    Imagine if you did chores for your grandma and she gave you $10.  When you got home, you got to keep it all, because it's only $10.
    Meanwhile, the hedge fund manager in the gated community across town got taxed 70% on only the 20 millionth dollar of earned income that he made last year.

    We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

    Great response, Goose.  A 70, 80, or 90 percent tax rate means nothing to 90+ percent of the people working in America.  Even 5th graders would get that, Scott.  Dumbass.
