When the weather gets hot my taste in beer goes lighter in color and more citrusy.
This year the Michelob Shock Top sampler has reached a new high: Still the old standby Lemon Shandy and Ruby Red (wonderful tartness) but the new addition is "Citrus Pearls" which lives up to its name. A wild mixture of citrus flavors (maybe a hint of lime) that goes down smoothly to the very end.
It's the type of beer that could do a lot of damage on a hot day when it hard to stop with just one or two.

My other summer-into-fall favorite is Goose Island IPA....I'm normally a bottled beer guy but this is my one exception. Stumbled across it by accident when the U-Tote-Em on Bannister Street had it on the markdown counter....$9.99 for 15 cans, what the heck? (I've discovered a lot of good brews that way).
Mildly hoppy, a hint of citrus, and a smooth finish with minimal aftertaste. Excellent at any price.
