So glad they are making the big bucks now! 25 million is pretty darn good.
"We came out of the White House not only dead broke, but in debt," Clinton told ABC News. "We had no money when we got there, and we struggled to, you know, piece together the resources for mortgages, for houses, for Chelsea's education. You know, it was not easy."
Clintons earned more than $25 million for speeches since 2014
Bill and Hillary Clinton have made more than $25 million in speaking fees since the start of 2014, according to multiple media reports. Hillary Clinton, the front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination, filed a financial disclosure report to the Federal Election Commission on Friday detailing the earnings, the AP said. The money came from 100 speeches, meaning the Clintons earned an average of $250,000 per speech, according to the Washington Post. In addition to money made from speeches, Hillary Clinton reported another $5 million earned from her book, “Hard Choices,” in that span. The Clintons’ effective tax rate in 2014 was over 30 percent, according to Bloomberg.

Oh that is nice work if you can get it.
And you can get it -- if you try.

Common, are you suggesting some sort of federal law to limit income?
What is the point here? Envy? lamenting onthe unfairness of life, what?
Isn't getting as rich as your abilities can take you the american dream?

And artist Jeff Koons made 58.4 million dollars on a balloon animal sculpture.
Some people are luckier than others.

...............and somebody just bought a Picasso for 180 million. Maybe the Clinton's are saving up to buy one like that. Only 155 million to go!

Every single CEO and high level executive around at the time of the banking crisis continued to receive millions in salary abd bonuses but it's somehow wrong for a former president and former Senator and Secretary of State to accept money for giving speeches????
This seems to be a awful double standard.

Golly, I'm shocked, shocked to discover the Clintons making money from their political careers.
Never happened before.
Except that it happens all of the time.
GWB commands six figures when he gives a speech.
In 1989 Ronald Reagan was paid $2 million by a media firm to tour Japan and give two speeches.
From 2006 thru 2007 Rudy Giuliani made $9.2 million in speaking fees.
Newt Gingrich turned his time in office into $100 million in business interests.
Huckabee took a failed run and landed with a show on Fox.
Sarah Palin got paid $115K to give a speech at a college in 2011, and she lost! In fact, Palin built a $12 million fortune on her failed run in 2008.
Santorum took a two term senate career and failed presidential and turned them into a gig at Fox, and a Washington "think tank".
Shall I go on?
