Time Magazine called to say that I was PROBABLY going to be named “Man (Person) of the Year,” like last year, but I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot. I said probably is no good and took a pass. Thanks anyway!

The President is incorrect about how we choose Person of the Year. TIME does not comment on our choice until publication, which is December 6.

Re: Liar of the Year

As usual, he makes something up to promote himself.  He says he took a pass because it will seem like TIME wanted to name him, but he said 'no'.

What surprises me most is that people believe this gasbag.  Let me guess what's next:  He's going to slam TIME magazine .............. somehow TIME magazine's readership will be waaaaay down, they're no longer relevant, they publish fake news, etc.  Stay tuned.

The true believers are absolutely unhinged.

Trump voter: I'd believe President over Jesus

During a panel with Trump voters, one supporter said he likes that the President's cabinet is filled with millionaires and that he would take the President's word even if Jesus were to contradict it.

Re: Liar of the Year

I wish I had a response to that, but I don't.  Sometimes it's best to move on and realize some people may have to be left behind no matter how hard you try to convince them otherwise.

I agree. I mean, it's interesting to think about, and I'm sure that examining this guy would speak volumes about the psychology of tribalism.

But, we've spent enough time trying to reason with, and "hear" unreasonable people; Trumpers, gun nuts, science deniers. It's time to move on and work with reasonable people for a better future.
Rational arguments don't work on irrational people. Otherwise, there wouldn't be irrational people.

Re: Liar of the Year

You know what’s funny?

I got a call from somebody who said he was from Time Magazine the other day. He told me I was going to be named Time Magazne’s Person of the Year for this year. All I had to do to claim the award was to give the guy my Social Security Number, My bank checking account number, ATM PIN, two credit card numbers and PIN’s, and brokerage account numbers for any retirement accounts I had.

I declined the honor though after refusing to give the guy that info. I wonder if President Heel Spurs spoke to the same guy and if he provided him with the info he asked for.

Re: Liar of the Year

You sure he didn't say "CHUMP of the year?"

Re: Liar of the Year

For the sheer entertainment value, I hope they choose Hillary Clinton or Robert Mueller.  How about that?  Imagine the Trump tweet storm that would start.
