Here's a Pile

Ok, I read through this pile of stats, etc. concerning presidential hopefuls.  Plenty of stats here.  Some of it interesting, some of it not.  Read through it until you get a headache, then jump to the bottom of the article:

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/05/13/fox-news-poll-huckabee-seen-as-more-ethical-than-most-clinton-less/

They polled a whopping 1006 people!

Hey, I conducted a poll and found out 75% of people don't like carrots.  I polled the 24 people who were eating dinner in the restaurant where I had dinner tonight.  Reading the article cost me 7 minutes of my life I'll never get back.

Re: Here's a Pile

Hey, that's a huge sample compared to the poll someone posted here that "proved" that millionaires support Hillary.
That poll had a whopping 750 participants.
Let's face it. A lot of these polls are carried out, not to learn anything, but as something to base a story on.

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

Re: Here's a Pile

Hey, Fred, check this out. The people at Fox "recycled" the same poll to generate another "news" story.

May 13
Fox News Poll: Huckabee seen as more ethical than most, Clinton less

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/05/13/fox-news-poll-huckabee-seen-as-more-ethical-than-most-clinton-less/
The Fox News poll is based on landline and cell phone interviews with 1,006 randomly chosen registered voters nationwide and was conducted under the joint direction of Anderson Robbins Research (D) and Shaw & Company Research (R) from May 9-12, 2015.

And, on May 15
Fox News Poll: Voters believe White House incompetent, US still in recession and ISIS has moved next door
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/05/15/fox-news-poll-voters-believe-white-house-incompetent-us-still-in-recession-and/?intcmp=latestnews

I guess that the first headline wasn't dramatic enough!

Re: Here's a Pile

Oh geez, I wonder if anyone reads past the headline and connects the dots between the 'results' of this poll and the number of people polled?  Completely unscientific.
