''Shawshank Redemption' prison escapee caught... 56 years later

This is pretty fascinating.  I'd never heard of this fugitive case before.  The real life Andy Dufresne.  I wonder what his new prison sentence will be?

Strange story. That is one long time to be hiding.
I wonder what they will do with him. He's 79.

I wonder this as well.  He was caught in 1975, and they let him go, and he's gone 56 years without being a menace to society, so apparently he's rehabilitated.  I assume they'll give him a prison sentence just to reinforce the point that it's not ok to escape prison, but he is 79, and I'm not sure that would be the wisest use of prison space.

Haha!  He also escaped through the prison wall, and then a sewer pipe.  This guy's story probably isn't that adventurous.

Yea, you wonder what putting this guy in the joint does for society except cost the People some money.
As you noted, he's obviously no threat to society.
