The Latest: Russia say Trump accepts Putin’s meddling denial
Russia’s foreign minister says President Donald Trump has accepted Russian President Vladimir Putin’s assurances that Moscow didn’t meddled in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
Sergey Lavrov made the claim to reporters following Trump and Putin’s lengthy meeting on the sidelines of an international summit in Germany.
That account appears at odds with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson’s description of the meeting.
Tillerson said the president was “rightly focused on how do we move forward from what may be simply an intractable disagreement at this point.”
U.S. intelligence officials have blamed Russia for election hacking and other efforts to influence the election to help Trump win.

It's just heck to be a President Trump hater...... Listen to Lavrov and not Secretary of State Tillerson's description of the meeting.
Who is siding with Russia? Maybe this phony headline:" Did Our President Just side with Russia Over his Own Government?"A truly nothing story!
"The president pressed Putin, on multiple occasions -- Putin denied involvement, as I believe he has done in the past," Tillerson said in an off-camera briefing with Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin.“The two agreed this was a substantial hindrance to the ability to move the Russian, U.S. relationship forward,” Tillerson said.

According to the Russians trump did exactly that, take their word over his own intelligence agencies.
Do you think that was wise, or that the press has done something wrong by reporting it?

I don't know if he is a fool, a dupe, or what.

It's just heck to be a President Trump hater. - Common
I think you misunderstand the position of many people, including me. I am not a Trump hater. I think, however, he is in over his head with the job. He's not demonstrated to me that he is a critical-thinking adult that is qualified to represent and lead a democratic government of, by, and for the people.
Personality-wise it is obvious to many that he's thin-skinned, self-centered, self-serving narcissist who cannot handle any sort of criticism. Those close to him are well-aware .............I submit that first cabinet meeting as evidence of that.
Finally, personally I am not a fan of the authoritarian leadership style at all. Evidently you have never worked under one or you would know exactly what I mean. Authoritarians can operate and function in certain leadership roles, but President of the USA isn't one of them. That's all, and his 35% approval rating indicates to me I am not alone in my assessments and observations.

"Trump Hater".
Sigh.
Sadly, You are not refuting an argument. You are dismissing a person.
We should be addressing arguments, not attacking other posters.
I think that Trump is doing a terrible job. And I am happy to explain why to anyone at length, just as Fred has done.
Those who support Trump should hold themselves to the same standard, and avoid the labels.

Putin says Trump believed his denial that Russia meddled in election
Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday said he assured President Trump that Russia did not interfere in the U.S. election, and that he thinks the president believed his denial.
Putin was the first leader to provide detailed comments about the meeting, which took place on Friday. It was the first face-to-face meeting between the two since Trump took office, and lasted nearly two hours longer than planned.
Trump should speak for himself on whether he believes Russia interfered, Putin said according to the Associated Press.
Prior to his meeting with Putin, Trump said Russia could have interfered in the 2016 election but "nobody really knows for sure."
Trump has yet to speak about the meeting with Putin aside from calling it “tremendous” in a brief aside earlier in the day. He is not holding a press conference in Germany, in a break with tradition.

I might also add to my post #5 with this: To me, another sign of good, responsible leadership is to surround yourself with intelligent, critical-thinking, quality people who are quite knowledgeable of the position they've been appointed to lead. Afterall, we can all agree the job of president is difficult and complicated. It's impossible for any one person to master every facet of what is required.
Once again, I offer that as a criticism of Donald Trump's judgement abilities as the qualifications of some of his appointees are questionable at best. I don't hate him, I simply question his ability to handle the job.

I see that there are republicans who expressed disappointment at Trump's behavior in the Putn meeting.
Guess we'll just dismiss them as "haters" too?

I think many Republicans are beginning to realize Donald Trump is not a Republican. They promoted and helped an authoritarian get elected. Conservative, Liberal, Republican, Progressive, Democratic positions and philosophies can be thrown out the window. Donald Trump sees running the government as a family business. Period.
Why oh why couldn't the people who voted for him see this coming is beyond me.
