I gotta be honest with everyone here. I've driven through Texas a couple of times and I've got to say my best view of the place was in my rear view mirror.
P.S. I felt the same way about Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Kansas.

Back in the mid eighties I was invited to Norman, OK for a job. I spent 4 days there dicussing the job prospect with the management group. When I got back home, my wife anxiously asked how it went, anticipating a possible move. I told her that I had decided against the position in Oklahoma and in favor of another opportunity in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. My wife, slightly shocked at the decision, asked why I had made that choice. I said that I would rather go to Saudi Arabia on a four year contract than go to Oklahoma for possibly the rest of my life.
Norman, OK . . . The only place I ever was that had lawns that looked and felt like shredded wheat. Plus the added attraction of an occasional tornado.

IWhen we was young and foolish (and b.c.) my wife and I drove the length of OK plus the TX panhandle westbound; KS eastbound; KS westbound, and NB eastbound.
NB wasn't bad at all. OK and TX were interesting with the oil derricks and the rugged terrain of the panhandle.
But Kansas westbound? Everyone should do that once. And only once.

Perhaps, Lager, there is some hereditary paranoia from being defeated and occupied by an invader?
Of course, most of New Jersey was occupied by the British and they don't seem crazy.

Ok…the truth comes out! They have some sort of hereditary paranoia that would explain everything. But mainly they are just crazy! Yup there you have it all wrapped up in a neat little package! Very , very nice! They are a class below the deciders here on the New Exchange!

Rather than feigning indignation, let's stay on topic.
You introduced the term "Obama's agenda" to the thread.
What is that agenda, and do you think it includes a military takeover of Texas?
What would you call the fear of a military takeover of Texas?
Do you find that credible, reasonable, or downright wacky?

As Rongone suggested in another thread, common, it would be useful if you would stick around a thread to explain your views.

From my perspective, the takeover of Texas began decades ago. Based upon the declarations by several prominent Texans (Cruz, Gohmert, Perry and others) it appears that members of the invading force have positioned themselves in powerful and influential capacities in governance of the state. This planned, steady, and calculated usurpation of power was not initiated by the federal government of the U.S., but by aliens. Not illegals from south of the Rio Grande, but by aliens not of this world. Recent laboratory testing on the strange DNA of these aliens carried out by the secret NSA lab revealed the origin of these invaders was Uranus. What's the proper scientific nomenclature for a life form that originates in Uranus ? ? ?

Guess we're never going to find out what the obama agenda is, or how it will affect Texas.
