Looks like he's really going to do it.
In a May 23 letter to Mr. Trump from Attorney General Patrick Morrisey of West Virginia and nine other state attorneys general, Mr. Morrisey wrote, “Withdrawing from the Paris agreement is an important and necessary step toward reversing the harmful energy policies and unlawful overreach of the Obama era.” He added, “The Paris Agreement is a symbol of the Obama administration’s ‘Washington knows best’ approach to governing.”

Apparently, the primary concern of the Trump administration is to completely remove the name "Obama" or anything associated with his name from the annals of history.
Somehow, in Trump's defective, gold gilded, self indulgent mind he thinks this will improve the U.S., raise his name above all other world leaders, and overcome his dismal approval ratings.
In reality, the guy is a disorganized, incompetent, inept buffoon.

IF Trump pulls out from the accord, he will be in good company as the US will be joining the two other countries that also declined to join the Paris agreement-- Syria and Nicaragua.
