Hillary Clinton has come out of the wilderness of late, and is giving speeches.
She appeared before a "Diversity Conference" in San Francisco.
There Clinton spoke largely about women's equality and peppered in criticism of President Donald Trump and the Republican Party.
Clinton then appeared at a fundraising dinner for The Center, an LGBT community organization
There Clinton warned that President Donald Trump could roll back progress on LGBT rights.
Sigh.
Don't get me wrong. I support Clinton's stands. Women's and LGBT rights are Human rights, and should be protected.
But, to put these things front and center delivers the message of a person out of touch with the financial concerns of the majority of Americans.
Didn't some guy once say "It's the economy, stupid".
Yep. That was Bill Clinton.
And, it has come to light that Bill had some particular advice for the Hillary campaign, which they ignored.
Bill wanted to focus on white working class voters in the rust belt and some 16 states. He was overruled.
Bill worried that the Obama victory formula was dependent of extremely high African American voter turnout, which Hillary wasn't going to get, and his personal charisma which Hillary doesn't have. He was ignored. Hillary was going to win a yuge majority of republican women, after all.
But, she didn't.
The Hillary campaign, if you believe these reports ignored they routinely ignored advice from the first Democratic president to win reelection since FDR.

I am guessing Hillary is espousing her passion and not so much thinking of politics (in the sense of running for any office).
I agree, though, that the big concerns right now are over good jobs for many displaced workers. It is a tall order. Trump promised a lot of things in this area, but I don't see them coming about.
