Wait until this baby makes the rounds throughout the world's media outlets. In justifying the missile attack in Syria, Spicer informed us that even Hitler didn't use chemical weapons.
How does this guy keep his job the president's press secretary?

Considering who his boss is, Trump's tenuous grasp of history and nonexistent relationship with the truth, I'd say that Spicey and Don are a ideal match.
Donald values loyalty over competence

Sorry, posted the same story.
What a HUGE mistake. Sometimes when you make such a colossal mistake you can immediately do a mea culpa, but usually the person tries to explain or defend it and that becomes just a problematic.
This guy is really NOT Press Secretary material IMHO.

Because Spicer has learned to respond to any question proposed to him with "The president has been very clear on ____________" (insert any subject in the blank) in order to make it sound like the administration has a firm grasp on everything. Of course Sean follows up that blanket statement with a bunch of nonsense . . . almost like he just puts words together as they pop into his head. If that load of BS doesn't satisfy the questioner, Spicer often gets testy with the reporter and then hurriedly calls on someone else. He is a buffoon . . . and Trump appreciates his ability to deflect without being specific or actually concisely answering questions. As they both often say, "we don't want to tip our hand", or "we're going to hold our cards close to the vest". Translation: we have no definitive plans, we're making this up as we go along, just trust us.

In other words, this chump serves as a punching bag. I wonder if he even knows that?
But wait, it gets better: Spicer tried to clear up what he meant by saying that, "Assad gassed his own people." Oh yeah, we all forgot those Jewish-German citizens living in Germany weren't really Germans. This guy must think all of us are dumber than he is. A real piece of work.
Message to Donald Trump: You gotta keep this guy as your spokesman at all costs. If he wants more money, give it to him!

I do not for a second think that Spicer is a Holocaust denier.
What I believe is that guy is terrified of displeasing his boss, who is a man that believes that showing humility, humanity, or acknowledging flaws is showing weakness. And that one should never show weakness under any circumstances.
So, time and time again the constraints of his job causes Spicer to say ridiculous things.

Godwin's law in full effect! Why do people use a Nazi or Hitler reference ever? It is going to do nothing but destroy your message you are trying to convey. Spicer needed to apologize and I am glad he did. For goodness sake stop using this reference.
“Frankly, I mistakenly used an inappropriate and insensitive reference to the Holocaust, for which frankly there is no comparison,” Spicer said during an interview on CNN. “For that I apologize, it was a mistake to do that.”

Sean Spicer says the comment is inexcusable and he deeply regrets what he said.

I agree with Common on this one. Sean Spicer is the only one who could pull off the job of Press Secretary to this White House. Donald Trump needs to keep him on his staff. That way when Trump tweets or says something off-the-wall, he can say, "Yeah, but look what Sean Spicer did. Wow, that was a real doozy!"

That's not what I said? Not sure where you are reading that from?
I said never use Hitler/Nazi references never and that he needed to apologize for what he did. A really, really stupid mistake!!

I think that Common is correct in that as well.
I mean, the guy is perfect for this job!
