Daily Presidential Tracking Poll
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 55% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Forty-five percent (45%) disapprove.
The latest figures include 38% who Strongly Approve of the way Trump is performing and 36% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of +2.
Just shows you how out of touch the media is!

Rasmussen -- historically not the most accurate polling operation
"Just shows you how out of touch the media is!"
Yeah . . . Just look at the most recent Fox 'news' poll that O'Reilly was touting on his show:
Those who approve of Trump's performance: 48%
Those who disapprove of Trump's performance: 47%
And, Common, you know how unbiased and in touch Fox 'news' is . . . right?
Perhaps we should take a look at a more respected and reputable polling organization . . . Like Gallup.
Their most recent polling data on Trump's performance: Approve: 40%. Disapprove: 55%
But, according to Trump loyalists, polls like Gallup are "fake" or "rigged".

You are taking a daily tracking poll and suggesting it proves, what exactly?
By the way, on the same day, polls by:
Rasmussen have Trump's favorability/unfavorability at 55% / 45%. Approve+10
Gallup has Trump at 40% / 54%. Disapprove +14.
Pew has him at 39% / 46% Disapprove + 17
I noticed that you shared only the Rasmussen poll with the group.
Why is that?
Was it their methodology that impressed you? Sample size? Experience? Past reliability?
Why did you share just this one poll?

Let's put ALL the reputable polls up and THEN see where it stands.

Rongone,
To be accurate, you should look at any average of polls, not just a poll that you consider to be respected. An average of polls by someone like realclearpolitics would tell a better story since it shows the average of a number of polls.
In regards to the accuracy and rating of polling, I suggest you look at the link below from fivethirtyeight.com to see how they scientifically ranked the polling organizations. An an FYI, here is what they graded the 3 companies mentioned in this thread so far:
Rasmussen = C+
Gallup = B-
Fox News/Anderson Robbins research = A
It appears the Fox News poll you mentioned is generally more accurate and respected than the Gallup and Rasmussen poll.

Here are two polls from Wednesday:
President Trump Job Approval Reuters/Ipsos Approve 46, Disapprove 50 Disapprove +4
President Trump Job Approval Economist/YouGov Approve 46, Disapprove 49 Disapprove +3.
Now, arguing polls is a fun parlor game, at this point meaning little.
However,Trump +10 seems like an outlier, common, not cause for celebration.

Thanks . . . I'm quite familiar with various polling organizations . . . Including fivethirtyeight and Nate Silver, who, though highly respected, also called the 2016 election incorrectly.

This is interesting:
A Pew Research poll found just 39 percent approve of Donald Trump's job performance while 56 percent disapprove.
By comparison, President Barack Obama’s approval was at 64 percent in the February after he began his first term.
So, there are many ways to look at things.

Bottom line:
Don't seize upon the one poll that tells you what you want to hear.
That's called Confirmation bias. Confirmation bias is the tendency to search for, interpret, favor, and recall information in a way that confirms one's preexisting beliefs or hypotheses, while giving disproportionately less consideration to alternative possibilities.
And, it will bring you to grief.
