Ok, gang, place your bets. Will it be Conway, Spicer, or Flynn?
It is a truth universally peddled by wisemen and -women in Washington, though not necessarily obeyed by presidents, that when the White House is in trouble, the best cure is to hoist the head of an adviser on a spike of the fence encircling the executive mansion.
Firing—sorry, accepting the resignation of—an adviser makes for an easy way to demonstrate that the administration understands it has a problem and is working to fix it. That person doesn’t necessarily need to be the root of the problem, though it’s helpful if they’re at least somewhat involved. Other times, some bad press offers a useful pretext for pushing out someone who was already on thin ice.

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

It does appear that Spicer may be demoted/firedif this story is true.....
Carl Higbie has interviewed for the position of White House press secretary, according to two senior administration officials familiar with the matter.
“Well, I can say that I’ve offered my services,” Higbie confirms for Washingtonian when reached by phone.
“I haven’t heard back from the administration yet. I’m honored to be even considered for this.” Higbie says he has spoken with “a number of people” in interview rounds for the post.
Higbie interviewed for the position on Thursday, according to the sources. Higbie declined to confirm this. On Twitter Friday night after this story was originally published, Higbie said he has had no formal interviews.
Higbie, a former Navy SEAL, is close with the Trump family, particularly Eric Trump, whom he met in the green room after appearing on the Kelly File last year. He was one of the first official surrogates for the president on the campaign trail. He was also spokesman for the Great America PAC, which purported to earmark donations “from the grassroots” for the Trump campaign.

Former Navy Seal a good p/r guy? No correlation! Trump needs to stop bringing people into his administration who are palsy-walsy types. He needs people with government experience, who have a real brain and know what it's for and be able to use it constructively. If he doesn't we'll be able to say goodbye and good riddance sooner than we think. I think it is a toss up--Spicer or the female with alternative facts.

I'll go along with Spicer. Trump is going to get tired of everyone criticizing and making fun of him . . . somehow Trump takes this as a personal affront to him, and that won't be tolerated.
Besides, I think Trump wants to see Kimberly Guilfoyle behind that podium with her high heels and low neckline. Even when she says something stupid in defense of Trump's governmental ignorance, he'll probably still want to grab her . . . uhmmmm, notebook . . . yeah, that's what I meant.

Looks like we have a winner! Michael Flynn. He set a new record. He was Security advisor for 24 days breaking the old record of 2.5 years. However, since nobody picked him, the pot carries over to the next round. Ok, who's next?

Oh man, I was sure it was going to be Angry Spice.
Oh well, you can lie to the People, but just don't lie to the Vice President.
BTW, Flynn is a career military man. He has worked thru a chain of command his whole life.
Does anyone here believe that Michael Flynn talks to the Russians about sanctions without the knowledge and approval of Donald Trump?
The only reason Flynn got canned was that this became public, and the VP looked like a fool.
Mr. pence, what else is the Donald hiding from you?

Next out . . . a tie between Kellyanne and Sean. Both of them will succumb to the pressure from other survivors who will grow tired of their 'alternative facts' and the embarrassment they personally suffer as the brunt of jokes that stem from their constant bumbling. Because of this, the rest of the Trump island survivor advisory appointees will require that they compete with each other in a fire starting competition.
Unfortunately, neither Kellyanne nor Sean will be able to even strike up a spark. So, both of them will leave the island and begin a new career as on-air personalities for Fox 'news'.

I'm picking Kellyanne Conway. Have you seen her lately? She's starting to look real beat and worn out. Being an advisor and spokesperson for this president is beginning to take its toll.

Although he wasn't quite on the island yet, reports are coming out that senior GOP senators are asking the White House to withdraw the nomination of Andrew Pudzer for Labor Secreatary, citing that 4 Republican senators are committed to voting no and another dozen or potential no votes.
Pudzer is the CEO of Hardee's. Revelations came out that he was not paying taxes on his undocumented housekeeper and apparently there is an unreleased Oprah Winfrey interview with his ex-wife saying that he was abusive towards her.
The editorial board of the conservative National Review published a piece today calling for the defeat of his nomination.
On the flip side, he was one of the few people in Trump's circle that is for comprehensive immigration reform.
Bottom line: He's toast.
