And such is life under authoritarian rule ............. demean the press, demean those who oppose you, demean protestors, demean those responsible for interpreting the law, demean the agencies who object to your instructions, demean those who don't share your world view, demean leaders of other countries who question your tactics, demean segments of the nation who don't cheer for you, use personal attacks instead of policy arguments, etc.  Am I missing some?
