Phil has made it official! Six more weeks of winter. Well if you can call the weather we have been having winter?
Our local weather guy said last might we have had about 2 inches of measurable snow for the winter.
Punxsutawney Phil sees shadow, predicts 6 more weeks of winter
The handlers of Pennsylvania’s most famous groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil, said he saw his shadow and predicted six more weeks of winter during the annual celebration in Pennsylvania.Members of Punxsutawney Phil’s top hat-wearing inner circle revealed their forecast just after 7:20 a.m.
Thursday. The festivities have their origin in a German legend that says if a furry rodent casts a shadow on Feb. 2, winter continues. If not, spring comes early. In reality, Phil’s prediction is decided ahead of time by the group on Gobbler’s Knob, a tiny hill just outside Punxsutawney.
That’s about 65 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.Records dating to 1887 show Phil predicting more winter 103 times while forecasting an early spring just 18 times — including this year. There are no records for the remaining years.

I don't know who is better at predicting the weather . . .
A rodent that spends much of its life buried underground
Or
Joe Calhoun the chief meteorologist at WGAL's "Storm Team"
Tough choice

Agree. Along with Joe I wish they ditch that finger-pointing traffic female.
