The 43rd annual pro-life gathering will get a boost from notable speakers, including Vice President Mike Pence, key adviser to President Trump Kellyanne Conway, Cardinal Timothy Dolan and NFL star Benjamin Watson, and unlike last year’s event, weather will not deter participants.
“Each of our speakers exemplifies this year’s theme, ‘the power of one’, in a beautiful way,” said Jeanne Mancini, president of March for Life. “Their words are sure to motivate the marchers, as well as the millions of pro-life Americans who will be watching, who dedicate themselves to restoring a culture of life in the United States.”
The march begins at 11:45 a.m. ET with a rally near the Washington Monument and then proceeds to the Supreme Court building. Also scheduled to speak are Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, Rep. Mia Love, R-Utah, and Rep. Chris Smith, R-New Jersey.

Right to Life movement to me is a mixed bag. I certainly can see the view that abortion is taking an innocent life and I can also appreciate that a woman (and man together I might add) can wish to make a decision about an unwanted pregnancy.
I would (hopefully as most) rather see a pregnancy avoided vs it happening and the decision on an abortion.
All of this exemplifies WHY the US is still the best place to live. We CAN have protests that demonstrate the feelings of many on many issues. This is actually what makes us strong.

Interesting. Donald Trump criticized "The Media" for it's coverage of the March for life,,,,,,,,,before it happened.

Judging by the tweets and comments coming out of the White House, the trumpers view the Right to Life March as some sort of counter demonstration to the Women's march last week.
These folks have been having the march for years. They really believe in their cause, and I wonder how they are going to feel about their demonstration being co-opted for the White Houses narrow political use.

Minister of Propaganda Sean Spicer tried to make CNN look bad for calling the marches "Demonstrators"
Here's the Tweet:
1000s gathered in DC to stand up for life & adoption and @CNN refers to them as "demonstrators" #MarchForLife
Isn't that terrible?
Well,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
March For Life's own website refers to the March as "The world's largest pro-life Demonstration"
If the event is a demonstration, then it's participants would be demonstrators.
Sorry Sean.
Sad

Maybe there's a fear the March for Life Demonstration will draw more people than the inauguration? Oh, oh, better take some photos and compare and then counter with 'alternative facts', although we have to take in account the 'Trump Effect'.
Ok, I have no idea what I'm talking about ............. just practicing for a possible job in the Trump administration.

It is a really great example of the binary worldview that the trumpers possess.

Poor Common, you care for, and understand nothing beyond the soccer match aspect of politics and current events.
Hey, you started the thread. Are you interested at all in discussing the topic and the issues raised?
You may be content with dumping an article and running. That's your business.
But, don't pretend that others have done something strange by actually sticking around to discuss the topic like adults do.
