Looks Like Scientists are Fighting Back

(Reuters) - Employees from more than a dozen U.S. government agencies have established a network of unofficial "rogue" Twitter feeds in defiance of what they see as attempts by President Donald Trump to muzzle federal climate change research and other science.

Good for them.
What a horrible shame that we've come to this point.

Obviously the climate change deniers know that their theory won't hold up to scrutiny. When the only way your idea can win is to suppress other ideas, you have admitted defeat

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

Re: Looks Like Scientists are Fighting Back

Imagine scientists trying to defy messages from a sitting POTUS.

We certainly live in an upside down world.

They may not be the last group doing this I expect.

Coming from the experts in that regard.

Re: Looks Like Scientists are Fighting Back

That scientists even HAVE to band together to make their voices heard is really problematic. We have entered a new age of suppression.

Pray, what ideas have I suppressed?
Have I attempted to have any Climate change denier study censored?
Examples would be appreciated.
You aren't making any sense.
And this , is a poor substitute for a well articulated argument.

I don't get the point you are trying to make, Tim.  I'm no expert on climate change, but at some point we all must accept the research, experimentation results, observations, and conclusions of those who are knowledgeable and study the science of a particular area of study.

The vast majority of climatologists and scientists who have been studying the data have concluded that climate change is real, and human activity has contributed to it.

Sometimes it's a good idea to accept the results of those much more proficient and knowledgeable.  For example, you detect a pain in your stomach and visit a doctor.  He recommends you see a gastroenterologist.  After your examination he determines you have stomach cancer.  You don't like the result of that diagnosis, so you visit several more gastroenterologists.  Each one gives you the same diagnosis and recommends surgery, but one out of the 100 you visited says, "No, it's just acute indigestion, take 2 Rolaids after each meal and you'll be fine."  That's what you wanted to hear, so that's what you do?  99 out of the 100 surgeons you visited have to be wrong.

We DON"T NEED NO STINKIN' SCIENTISTS when our POTUS Knows-It-All !!

Re: Looks Like Scientists are Fighting Back

Right, Tennyson.  Why listen to the scientific community when politicians can tell you all you need to know about everything especially if they are member of your chosen political tribe?

Boy, am I glad I never joined one.
