This is not "Freedom" it's criminals on a rampage! Rioting and destruction.
WASHINGTON – Violent and destructive Inauguration Day protests escalated Friday afternoon ahead of the ceremonial parade, as demonstrators smashed window fronts and clashed with police -- who used pepper spray and tear gas to try and control the crowd. Authorities said roughly 90 people have been arrested so far.
At least three officers from the Metropolitan Police Department, the District of Columbia’s agency, suffered non-life-threatening injuries related to demonstrators smashing several storefronts shortly after noon -- damaging a Bank of America, Starbucks and McDonald's about four blocks east of the White House.

Confrontation near parade route escalates, pepper spray used
When some crossed police lines, taunting, “Put the pigs in the ground,” police charged with batons and pepper spray, as well as stun grenades, which are used to shock and disperse crowds. Loud booms echoed through the streets about six blocks from where Trump would soon hold his inaugural parade.
Some protesters picked up bricks and concrete from the sidewalk and hurled them at police lines. Some rolled large, metal trash cans at police. Police said in a statement that the group damaged vehicles, destroyed property and set small fires while armed with crowbars and hammers.
Peter Newsham, the interim police chief of the Metropolitan Police Department, said the group caused “significant damage” along a number of blocks and that more than 90 people were arrested and charged with rioting.

In a crazy way, Common, I'm agreeing with your disgust over the vandalism. Luckily it represents a very few of the protestors. But, we need to remember the media isn't going to find a juicy story or photos of a few thousand people protesting peacefully. You know that.

If you are going to beat Trump, you do it with ideas and activism. Not pointless violence.

The protests are not going to stop very soon. There are too many groups that Trump pissed off on his way to the Presidency and I don't see so far real efforts to mend those divides.

There are always the fringe people whose way of protest is to cause chaos, throw rocks and destroy things and we've seen this many times in recent years. But don't let those images make you think that's all that is going on in D. C. People are mobilizing as they should have begun months ago. We now have a POTUS who is a bigot, racist, sexist, misogynist and homophobe. The world is watching. Complacency now would be a grave mistake.

The protests give common a chance to be smug.
He must be on cloud nine

Hey, the protestors who committed vandalism weren't anti-trump.
They are professional disrupters paid by the Koch brothers. Impersonators.
Anyway, that's what I heard.
I don't know if it's true.
Nobody does.
But people are talking,
People are saying.
Who can prove that it isn't true?
