The Ignoramus President continues to lie, and publicly deride his own government, for political gain.
This will lead to a dysfunctional relationship within our government at a time of great risk.
And we will be lucky if many young Americans don't have to make the ultimate sacrifice because of this guy's ego.
Shameful.
Trump derides intel briefing on 'so-called' Russian hacking
Washington (CNN)President-elect Donald Trump took to Twitter Tuesday evening to deride the US intelligence agencies due to brief him on alleged Russian hacking of American political groups.

The "Intelligence" briefing on so-called "Russian hacking" was delayed until Friday, perhaps more time needed to build a case. Very strange!

It was his latest attack on a key body he will rely on as commander in chief and again put him at odds with the agencies' unanimous conclusion that Russia hacked Democratic Party groups and individuals to interfere in the US presidential election.
Trump suggested that intelligence officials postponed an " 'intelligence' briefing on so-called 'Russian hacking' " that they were set to deliver to him this week because they might need more time "to build a case." He called the alleged delay "very strange."
Trump said last week that he would receive an intelligence briefing on the Russian breaches this week and suggested it would come early on, telling reporters on New Year's Eve that they would know more about the subject "Tuesday or Wednesday."
But US intelligence officials disputed Trump's tweet alleging a delay.
Top US intelligence officials have been scheduled to brief Trump on the full report on Russian hacking President Barack Obama ordered once it was completed, but the meeting was not set to take place until later in the week, according to US officials.
The meeting was never scheduled for Tuesday, as even Obama has yet to receive the full-fledged briefing on the Russian hacking, one US official said.
And a US intelligence official told CNN that Director of National Intelligence James Clapper was never scheduled to be in New York City, where Trump is, on Tuesday -- and was perplexed about the "delay" Trump claimed was taking place.
Trump on Tuesday did receive a classified intelligence briefing -- the Presidential Daily Briefing -- which Trump has elected to receive only sporadically. But it did not dive deeply into the Russian hacking.

Here I thought he ALREADY had the proof of no hacking !

Just imagine the relationship he is going to have with the intelligence community.
People who he routinely publicly humiliates, and ignores will be in charge of keeping a man with the most powerful military in history informed.
A guy, who knows what he knows, facts be damned..
It's one thing for a guy on a internet chat site to be a woefully and willfully uninformed ignoramus,,,,,
But a guy with nukes?
God help us.

Julian Assange said "a 14 year old could have hacked Podesta" - why was DNC so careless? Also said Russians did not give him the info!

Isn't that great.
The new President of the United States is going to disregard what his own intelligence agencies have to say,,,
while taking as gospel the opinion of a guy who is hiding out in an embassy to avoid a rape charge.
OK, it's time to review this oldy, but goody:
‘A lot of people are saying . . . ’: How Trump spreads conspiracies and innuendoes

But, this is how authoritarians operate:
1. Surround yourself with people who will tell you what you want to hear.
2. Then base your decisions on what they tell you.
3. If the plan works, you take credit ............... if it doesn't, then you blame them for giving you bad information and advice.
It's so transparent. I'm surprised more people don't see that.

I'm not so sure he's being told anything. I think it's more of Trump making these things up in his own egotistical, shallow mind and passing stuff off as the truth. He's a serial liar, that we already know for sure, so it's very easy for him to make up stuff with no remorse.

I am hoping that he is not as big an embarrassment after his inauguration as he has been, BUT knowing his style I am thinking we as a country could be in for some rough sledding.

This is the only case in which the words "Trump" and "intelligence" are likely to be found in the same sentence.

If you read the account of how Podesta got hacked, Assange is actually correct in saying a 14 year could have pulled it off. Social engineering is the easiest form of hacking.
And for the life of me, I don't know how a campaign with a billion dollars and experience in setting up private e-mail servers would let their staff, particularly high-level staff, use a G-mail account, despite Google's very good security track record.
Two-factor authentication, people!!!! Know it! Use it!

So, it wasn't the Russians.
And even if it was, it was Podesta's fault for being careless.
Reminds me of how the defense used to handle rape cases.
Hey, I don't know how careful, or not the DNC was, but let's not go down the road of "They had it coming".
We need to look at the big picture. Our new President seems to be going out of his way to humiliate his own government intelligence agencies, while singing the praises of a guy who hardly has the best interests of the nation at heart. All because of his own insecurities.
This is without precedent, and portends disaster.
