A Chilling Snapshot of Partisanship

A recent Economist poll was discussed on MSNBC's  Morning Joe today.

Of Trump voters:
9% had a favorable opinion of Barack Obama. Not surprising.
35% had a favorable opinion of Vladimir Putin. Wow!

Vladimir Putin, who imprisons political opponents, asasinates journalists, invaded the Crimea, and Participates in mass murder in Syria..

We should let that sink in. We are in real trouble here.

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

We're in real trouble because a poll conducted by the left-wing equivalent of Fox News told us so? Ok.

So, anything that says what you do not wish to hear is untrue?
Brilliant. And they say we liberals live in a bubble,,,,,

By the way, the poll wasn't conducted by MSNBC, so your comparison to Fox is well off the mark. You need to read with more attention to detail.
Please, go to the Economist poll, and tell me what was incorrect about their methodology.

Nope, I take anything reported by MSNBC, CNN or Fox News with a grain of salt, always.  They are all heavily slanted.

If you want me (us) to read the poll or article, it's your job to post the link.  It is your thread and all.

Anything you can do to prevent discussion you will do.
The whole MSNBC thing is a red herring. (A red herring is something  that is  intended to be misleading or distracting)
The poll wasn't carried out by them.

Re: A Chilling Snapshot of Partisanship

Why do so many Trump voters have a favorable opinion of an authoritarian Russian Strongman?

Re: A Chilling Snapshot of Partisanship

I said nothing favorable nor unfavorable about Trump.  Post the link, give this thread some credibility.

Re: A Chilling Snapshot of Partisanship

A recent Economist poll of self-described Trump voters showed that 35% had a favorable opinion of Russian Strongman Vladimir Putin.

Why is this so?
And why is The Man so desperate to prevent us discussing this?
And why is he incapable of using Google. BTW, Google is that search engine thingy on most computers. You're welcome.

Does this portend America turning towards authoritarianism? Perhaps, but I think that it is something else.
Donald Trump has said favorable things about Putin. If he started talking favorably about the color orange, the popularity of orange would increase amongst his fans and decrease amongst his detractors. People go to their Partisan corners. A year ago, Putin was viewed very negatively by republicans and democrats alike. Now there has been a large shift. What else could it be?

I'm not preventing anything, I want to read it for myself.  Post the link.
