President-elect Donald Trump thanked Pennsylvanians during his “USA Thank You Tour,” which made a stop at Hershey’s Giant Center on Thursday night.Following an introduction by Vice President-elect Mike Pence, chants of “USA” broke out as Trump made his way to the stage.During an hour-long speech, Trump discussed Pennsylvania's role in the election, his distrust of the media and plans for his presidency.Trump’s tour will continue Friday and Saturday, making its final stops in Orlando, Fla. and Mobile, Ala.Here are some of the top moments of Tuesday’s speech.

Trump thanks Pennsylvanians: ‘I will never ever let you down.’
“I’m here today for one main reason – to say thank you to the incredible people of Pennsylvania,” Trump said to kick off the event. “This is the first time the Republican Party has won the state of Pennsylvania in almost 30 years. We made history together. You propelled to victory a grass roots movement, the likes of which the world has never ever seen. Your drive, your dedication and your love for your country pushed us across the finish line, and boy did we get across that line.”He later added, “I will never forget you, and I will never ever stop fighting for you. I will never ever let you down.”Trump personally thanked U.S. representatives, Lou Barletta, Tom Marino and Tim Murphy, who he said were with him from the beginning. All three were in the audience Tuesday night, along with CNN political commentator Jeff Lord, who served as a former member of Ronald Reagan’s administration.“He fights so hard,” Trump said of Lord. “(CNN) stacks it up against him … but he handles it.”

The media are ‘the world’s most dishonest people.’

Trump bashed the media multiple times throughout his hour-long speech. At one point, he asked the cameras to pan the arena to show the large turnout for the event.“Are any cameras turning?” he asked. “No, they never turn. What a shame. "Very dishonest people, very, very dishonest people.”

Trump mocks CNN’s chief national correspondent John King.
Trump spent a portion of his speech recapping election night for his supporters. During the recap, he mocked CNN correspondent John King by shaking his hands nervously in anticipation of the election results.“Now, you see these absolutely terrible, terrible destructive people, they’re getting nervous,” Trump said, referring to the media and King. “His hand is starting to shake … You can see he’s getting ready to throw up all over.”

Trump makes promises for America's future – including building the wall.
Trump made a lot of promises to the crowd, including making America rich again so the country can afford to build a wall and put an end to illegal immigration.“We will build a great, great wall," he said. "We are going to stop the drugs from pouring into our country and poisoning the youth of Pennsylvania and every other state,” he said.He also promised to keep "radical Islamic terrorists" out of the country, “drain the swamp” of corruption in Washington D.C., “repeal the disaster known as Obamacare,” raise incomes, defend the second amendment, protect religious liberty, appoint justices to the U.S. Supreme Court who will uphold and defend the U.S. constitution, heal divisions and unify the country.“My message tonight is for … all walks of life,” he said to conclude his speech.

“Remember we are all Americans and we are all united by one shared destiny … I’m asking you to dream big and bold and daring things for your family and your country. I’m asking you to believe in yourself again, and I’m asking you to believe in America. And, if we do that, then all together, we will make America strong again. We will make America wealthy again. We will make America safe again. We will make America great again.”

Promises, punches, and Putin.

So far, so good for president elect Trump.

Let's see what happens when he actually has to do something. Will he continue to just blame others, or will he make reasonable decisions?

Too bad he didn't do a UNITY tour instead of a self-aggrandizing tour !

I wonder how long Trump is going to keep this up.
Can he actually govern by Tweet, and standup comedy appearances?

I am waiting for the first things to go wrong (AND they will ... it happens to every President) and how he will react. Similarly when one of his projects goes down the drain, just how he will handle it.

The bad thing is that he so far has done almost zero to gain UNITY after his win. Now if and when he disappoints his faithful, his administration could be in a world of hurt. Hopefully for all of us that will not happen, but he really has not helped himself to solidify the nation and that could ultimately be his downfall.

I think a lot of people look at this as a big R-tribe win, but I believe it to be more of a reaction to the lack of what is perceived as not getting things done for the "average Joe". They will cut the current POTUS elect slack for maybe a year, but if the disgruntled people who voted for change, do not see things really changing, they will be left being STILL disgruntled on the next political go around. And we know what usually happens with that.

It is also possible that some of the groups that currently do not feel disgruntled may become so with some of the possibilities that may be on the horizon as well.

We will all know in the next year or two how this all works out.

I personally as I have said before am not expecting too much, but I also have not been in the group that has so far been hit hardest. Actually compared with 2008 I am in a LOT BETTER shape (other than being 8 years older (which bites)) than I was back then.

Re: Donald Trump's 'Thank You Tour' in Hershey: Top 5 moments

Rachel Maddow tonight discussed the "wrongs" (that Tennyson refers to in his post) that happened after each new president takes office, usually in the springtime.  It happened to Nixon, JFK, Reagan Bush II and others.  She describes the incidents by foreign countries as a test to the new president.  How will he react, what will our government do and so on.  She had noted guests on her show suggesting that "spring" has come early for Trump when the Chinese stole the Navy's underwater drone in retaliation to his phone call with Taiwan.  All agreed.  It is Trump's turn now.  The difference between Trump's problem and the previous presidents is that he has no experience in diplomacy to handle this situation nor do any of his appointees.
