Re: Time to Set Partisanship Aside, and Get To The Bottom of This

If nothing else, this issue separates the elected officials who actually care about the democratic process in this country from the partisan hacks who just want to wear the team jersey.

I mean if you want to blow this off or sweep it under the rug, you are saying to us, "It's not a problem if foreign governments screw with our elections as long as our guy wins."

GOP senators seeking congressional probe on Russia hacking allegations

The following Republican lawmakers have called for a congressional investigation on allegations of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, or endorsed such an effort:

  • Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky.
  • Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.
  • Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.
  • Sen. James Lankford, R-Okla.
  • Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky.

I'm glad they are lining up for this investigation, it needs to be done.  While I don't think the Russian hacking "cost" Clinton the election, we should still try to determine what role Russia played in this and if there was any connection to Trump

Re: Time to Set Partisanship Aside, and Get To The Bottom of This

I don't know what will ultimately be the outcome, but believe that we need to look at this. It seems that Russia has meddled with several countries such as Germany and in the Balkans.
Let's find out how to protect ourselves

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.
