President-elect Donald Trump to kick off ‘thank you’ tour in Ohio

President-elect Donald Trump, modeling his imminent administration much like his campaign apparatus, will launch a “thank you” tour Thursday in Cincinnati with a massive rally at the U.S. Bank Arena, his transition team announced Tuesday.

Trump will hold several events in areas that hoisted him to a surprise presidential victory, most of which will be concentrated in the Rust Belt and Florida, according to George Gigicos, Trump’s director of advance.The president-elect has often noted the size of his rallies and has frequently mentioned a desire to get back on the campaign trail to revisit the states he won.

Trump initially planned a weekend victory tour, but opted to stay in his New York office to work on his Cabinet selections.But now — with many decisions left to be made on his administration — Trump is ready to get back to where he is most comfortable: the stage, where he can re-energize his working-class base.
