Domestic energy production is booming now (actually on a slight decline till oil prices rebound). I don't see a lot of uptick here. Coal might get a little break but again don't see any massive jobs coming back there either.
Heavy infrastructure for sure (if Congress appropriates the funds). BOTH candidates touted that. We will see if Mr Trump can get the monies he promised which was much more than Clinton. Most of those jobs will be good paying but not likely permanent.
Steel. Hard to say. I DO believe when and IF we revive that industry it will be much more mechanized and not the job creator that some think. BTW I am in favor of us rebuilding the steel industry even if it means the govrnment takes a stake in the industry itself. It is vital to our national security IMHO.
Specialized manufacturing - not sure what specifically types you are thinking of. Give some examples if possible. Were these jobs we lost earlier ?
