I have a hard time understanding how all these people find Drumpf's comments "disgusting, appalling, reprehensible, indefensible, sickening, unfortunate" etc. but at the same time they continue to support his candidacy for president. What's even worse are these people who continue to make excuses for this guy, or bury their heads in the sand and hope that the smoke blows over. They are just as bad as Drumpf is.
I wonder what they say to their wives, daughters, sisters, and female friends and associates about a guy that says crap like this. How do they justify his continued misogyny, xenophobia, bigoted, narcissistic attitude towards others?
Some local Republican leaders defend, stand by Trump
Betsy Hower, chairwoman of the Adams County Republican Committee, said she wasn't offended by recorded comments about women that Donald Trump made in 2005 and that became public Friday.
In the video obtained by The Washington Post, Trump used lewd language to describe women. He said he tried to have sex with a married woman, and that, when he sees a beautiful woman, “I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. ...Grab ’em by the p----. You can do anything.”
Hower dismissed the comments Trump made while talking with a former “Access Hollywood” host as “trash talk.”
“It’s two males bragging about dumb stuff that they probably don’t do,” Hower said. She later added, “You guys – you may not – but lots of guys do this in the locker room ... over a beer. It means nothing.”
Others have condemned the 2005 comments, including U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, who said the comments sickened him. And 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney said Trump’s remarks condone assault. Some prominent Republicans nationally have withdrawn their support or called for Trump to step down as the presidential nominee. Trump issued a video apology late Friday evening.
Pam Lee, an elected Republican in York County government, has been a public opponent of Trump. She hopes more Republicans drop their support of Trump.
“The party is allowing Trump to destroy it,” Lee said. “It can’t go on.”
It’s not clear yet the impact that Trump’s comments will have. Charlie Gerow, a Republican strategist based out of Harrisburg, said he personally thought the comments were “disgusting and appalling.” And, politically, the revelation of the comments comes as Trump has trailed Democrat Hillary Clinton in the polls.
“This is the beginning of a dramatic downward spiral that is going to be very difficult to pull out of,” Gerow said.
Alex Shorb, chairman of the York County Republican Committee, said Trump’s comments were unfortunate, but Shorb still supports Trump.
“We’re all flawed in character and hopefully this can be a learning experience for him,” Shorb said.
State Rep. Stan Saylor, R-Windsor Township, said Trump wasn’t his first, second or third choice for president, but Saylor is sticking with him.
He said news organizations don’t “go back and repeat anything bad about Hillary” and give too much attention to Trump’s past, including the 2005 comments.
“Everybody knew pretty much that Trump was a womanizer. That’s not news. Hell, he’s been a womanizer his whole life,” Saylor said. “He has said nothing more than what a lot of guys say … and women say.”
Saylor said that he doesn’t talk like that himself, but he’s heard “rude things” and “most kids hear it before they’re out of junior high.” When asked specifically about one of Trump’s comments – “Grab 'em by the p----. You can do anything.” – Saylor said he had not “heard that specifically” in his own experiences.
Democrats have condemned Trump’s remarks. Chad Baker, chairman of the Democratic Party of York County, said the comments are proof that Trump isn’t qualified to be president.
“For decades, his comments and actions have proven his ... level of disrespect and low opinion of women,” Baker said in an email.
In a statement, U.S. Rep. Scott Perry, R-York County, said, “Let me be clear: Donald Trump's comments 10 years ago were reprehensible and indefensible - period.”
But he continues to support Trump. “My support's based solely on which candidate can best revive our economy and make our Nation stronger and safer,” he said in a separate statement. “That candidate is not Hillary Clinton.”
Perry’s Democratic opponent in this year’s 4th Congressional District race, Josh Burkholder, said Perry’s support of Trump raises questions about Perry’s judgment.
“Those people that are supporting him really need to stop and think, is this the example we want to send across the world and to our children?” Burkholder said.
State Sen. Scott Wagner, R-Spring Garden Township, and state Rep. Kristin Phillips-Hill, R-York Township, could not be reached for comment Saturday. Wagner has been a vocal Trump supporter, and his business, Penn Waste, recently hosted a rally for Republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence. Last month, Phillips-Hill was named as a member of the Women for Trump Statewide Leadership Team.

Another enlightened defense of Drumpf's statements about women.
This time from Sean Hannity:
'King David Had 500 Concubines For Crying Out Loud'
Sean is watching his chance to be president Drumpf's press secretary being flushed down the toilet.

Does Clinton even need to campaign anymore?
Trump seems to be defeating himself.

Can I call your daughter a piece of ass?
Sure. Can I cut your genitals off and shove them in your mouth?

I followed the rink and read the raunchy transcript.
This is, after all, Howard Stern, not a good choir boy.
Trump said "yeah" to Howard's "piece of ass" comment.
Certainly, "yeah" can be construed as constituting agreement.
But that is not the same thing as Trump overtly saying "you can call Ivanka a piece of ass".
It is on the slippery slope--maybe very far down that slope. But not the phrase that is alleged in the link.

Not exactly a ringing defense of the man.

Flash--CNN released more videos of filth from Trump tonight and say it has more to release on air. Some are too gross to put on air but they've placed them on their website to read. At least one has remarks about Obama. I'll pass. What I heard discussed tonight was sufficient for my ears.

Expect new releases of cringeworthy stuff daily until the election. There really is that much stuff!
