HARRISBURG, Pa. -
The Pennsylvania Treasury has drawn $1.2 billion line of credit to pay the state’s bills.
So far this fiscal year, which started at the end of June, the state has borrowed nearly $2 billion to make ends meet.
Treasurer Timothy Reese says the borrowing “illustrates Pennsylvania’s poor financial health.”
The state has to pay back the money with interest by June 30, 2017.
Paybacks are hell.
