Heart of Darkness

I have resisted the Nazi comparisons on principle, until now.
But, OMG.....

Voices From Donald Trump’s Rallies, Uncensored
"fuck those beaners"
'Fuck Islam"
"Get out of here you Fags".
"Sieg Heil!"
"Fuck That nigger".

"Hillary is a whore"
"Hang the Bitch"
"Kill Her".

I am weeping for my country.

My apologizes for the awful language. It is not mine.
I included it to convey the frightening scene accurately.

Re: Heart of Darkness

Trump’s wall is not practical, but it is metaphor. Trump’s Muslim ban is not feasible, but it is metaphor. Trump’s huge deportation plan isn’t workable, but it is metaphor.

There is a portion of the population that feels threatened by unrelenting change — immigration, globalization, terrorism, multiculturalism — and those people want someone to, metaphorically at least, build a wall around their cultural heritage, which they conflate in equal measure with American heritage.

In their minds, whether explicitly or implicitly, America is white, Christian, straight and male-dominated.

I am not accustomed to dancing around an issue; I prefer to call it what it is. I prefer to shine a bright light on it until it withers. Supporting Trump is indefensible and it makes you as much of a pariah as he is.

That stops here, today. For as long as racism and tribalism and xenophobia exist in this country, Trump’s foibles will not signal his ultimate failure. But let’s not let off the people who prop him up, claiming that they’re simply being party loyalists, or Hillary haters or having Supreme Court concerns.

Not your language, you're just the mirror.

IMO, this is something everyone needs to know about in it undiluted form.

Thanks, I struggled with whether or not to present it as it was.
Ultimately I decided to for this reason.

Many Trumpers - and their apologists - like to hide behind the euphemism "politically incorrect" to describe their speech and behavior. They are suggesting that they just tell it like it is and speak hard truths that the rest of us are hesitant to say. So, I wanted to present what is actually said at these rallies so that people can see for themselves.
It isn't politically incorrectness, or blunt talk. It is hate. It is racism, bigotry, misogyny,,,,, and it is all laced with the thinly veiled threat of violence.

We have every right to be outraged, and to condemn this. And we aren't politically correct. We are being decent human beings.

Re: Heart of Darkness

It's so illogical.

I mean, people say things like this then fault the victims of their hate speech claiming they're being pedantic or overly sensitive.

Like objecting to someone screaming 'kill her' is way over the line??

Such a twisted, distorted path of logic.

Trump New York Co-Chair Says 'There Is No Doubt' Obama Is Muslim

Carl Paladino, Donald Trump's New York co-chair, on Thursday said that President Obama is not a Christian, arguing that the President's foreign policy proves he's a Muslim.

“In the mind of the average American, there is no doubt he is a Muslim,” Paladino told the New York Observer in a phone interview. “He is not a Christian.”

"Look at what he’s done with Iran, what he’s done with the Sunni-Shia thing over in Iraq and Iran, and with ISIS," he added.

Obama's Christian faith has been questioned by conservatives for years, despite the fact that he was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago before taking office and that he has attended church with his family since then. The Observer, which is owned by Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, noted this.

Paladino was not the only Trump supporter to revive a conspiracy theory about Obama this week. Former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski on Tuesday raised questions about Obama's Harvard transcripts, suggesting that Obama did not release the records to hide that he was not born in the United States.

Palladino obviously never heard of the saying: "better to remain silent and be thought of as a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt".
