by Donald Trump’s Wall, Ranchers Say
Ranchers near the Mexican border see smugglers and sometimes find bodies, but
they favor a different approach to illegal immigration from Donald J. Trump’s wall.
“To say you’re going to build a wall from Brownsville to San Diego?” he says. “That is the most idiotic thing I’ve ever heard. And it’s not going to change anything.”

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

True, the wall will never be built.
Trump likes to say things that are emotionally satisfying to some people.
The wall will be forgotten, and Mr. Trump will move on to some other tough sounding nonsense.
