I'm not sure why you are so worked up over this.
If you conscience is clear, why the insults?

I'm not worked up at all. And what insults have I posted?

I'll refrain from responding to Goose. Goose is going against his own number one rule of keeping all posts on topic. I don't want to aid him further in breaking his own rule.

My posts have been on topic.
You simply disagree with them.

Absolutely there are some bad police officers! There is no place for them on the force and strong corrective actions must be taken to fix that problem.
But what Black Lives Matter does is push a narrative that is FALSE! The police officer in not the major threat to black males it is other black males. Go look at the FBI UCR. It's right there for who every wants to look it. Black Live Matter also pushes the lie "Hands Up don't Shoot". That is a flat out lie that never happened. The one lie has caused great damage to police across the country. Screaming in the street that cops are killing as tho that is the major threat against black males. We all know it's not.
One other thing when you decide to fight the police in the street bad things are going to happen to you. If you feel mistreated. After the stop is over file a complaint don't fight the police because you will lose.
Did mr Castille "fight police in the street "?
I thought he was just some guy who got hassled for a blinker
You thought wrong. Not the first or last time.
Did you read your own link?
Castille was killed during a traffic stop, just as I stated.

Connotations of words change over time, sometimes rapidly.
Because modern liberalism has accepted as doctrine that "racism is in the mind of the offended" (akin to "in the eye of the beholder") and some who are easily offended have imagined color descriptive adjective always placed before "thug" ; "thug" itself has been (mis)construed by some to be racist.
Some don't see it this way.
Perhaps the better description of the situation would be a "parallel universe", although that could be assumed to be an alternative universe.
Only time will tell.

I respect your opinion, T.
However, I am of the opinion that the word has become loaded, and I don't think of myself as easily offended.
We shall hold different views in mutual respect.
Interesting interview from NPR. Well, I found it interesting, anyway.
I don't offer it as "proof". I offer it as an interesting interview. I try to be open to ideas.
("NPR', and "Columbia University" are probably loaded terms to some as well!
Liberalism may also be in the mind of the offended. )
The Racially Charged Meaning Behind The Word 'Thug'
Commentary heard on All Things Considered
NPR's Melissa Block speaks to John McWhorter, associate professor of English and comparative literature at Columbia University, about the use of the word "thug" to describe Baltimore rioters.

It is interesting of the high profile people that used the word thug to describe the Baltimore looters and rioters.
I tend to agree with their assessment to differentiate them from the protesters who were there to call for change in a peaceful way.
