I'm really trying to give a shit about Hillary's emails. I've tried to look at the issue from every possible angle. My concerns are with problems from healthcare for all to education to the wage gap and more, etc.
If I put the Hillary email poop under the most powerful microscope in the world, and spent hours and hours examining the issue from dozens and dozens of perspectives, I still don't think I'd find anything that would affect anything I'd care about.

You don't care that a potential "leader of the free world" doesn't know how to keep emails classified and top secret, and you would trust them with nuclear codes? Seriously???

What republican are you talking about as this is a thread about trump's potential running mate?

I wasn't addressing you. Butt out.

It's a public forum.
If you intend something as a PM, send it as a PM.
Otherwise, prepare to deal with other voices.
You don't get to exclude people from the conversation.
It's an exchange

Word on the street (and according to Drudge), Trump is going to pick Mike Pence as he Veep choice.
Strategically, I think it's a smart choice as Pence is a calm counterweight to Trump's bombastic nature.
I just don't think Pence is going to come off authentically as...
Liking Donald Trump personally
Believing in Trump's policies.

I think Pence works for a Rust belt strategy.
Newt never made much sense to me, unless the strategy was to revisit the Bill Clinton years.
In my opinion people are done with the 90s.
They want to look ahead.

Totally agree. Wish Democratic primary voters had felt the same way.

Pence will be a safe choice.
He won't embarrass the candidate, unless he does so by demonstrating that he, unlike his running mate, actually has command of the issues.

I consider the election of the POTUS to be the hiring of the Chief Executive of these United States.
The team must have executive experience: Governors, Mayors of major cities, captains of industry, or military.
Gov. Pence meets the minimum job qualifications. General Flynn might have been a better choice; on the other hand, Gov. Pence has experience in dealing with legislative bodies.
