"It's never news when government works.
Some rejoice in the narrative of its failure."

When government fails and that information is made public it's strange to watch defenders of a failed policy or agency try to justify the failure.

They want to blame congress or blame the the person making the issue public. So if the failure becomes public is a rejoicing of the failure. The failure has to be known to fix it. Just spin from the true issue.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident,”  former vice president Biden said during a campaign event in Texas on Monday. "All men and women created by — you know, you know, the thing.”

Who is a defender of failed policy?

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.
