9 things Bernie Sanders should’ve known about banking

I had read a couple of articles about this that just came out and considering that this (too big to fail and breaking them up) is one of Bernie's strongest talking points, I was very surprised that he did not have more concrete answers to the questions asked.

Some of his responses surprise me.  More like Trumpster dance-arounds.

Re: 9 things Bernie Sanders should’ve known about banking

The article basically reiterates the fact that at present there is really no way to do it. Mr Sanders does have a bill to address it, but it has no co-sponsors and has been referred to committee. There is a competing bill all that has seen little action as well that again is in committee. So at this point (and there are a lot of reasons neither of these will see the light of day) there is no way to accomplish it. As noted also in the article the Fed currently also does not have the power to do what Sanders would wish (and he seemed to note that also).

So, although Sanders would LIKE to break them up, at present there is no clear path to do this and maybe more importantly no will to do it in the bowels of government.

There are a LOT of programs and things that most of the nominees WANT to do, but then you have to assess IF they can do it by themselves if elected, and if not do they have the backing to create legislation to make it happen.

At this point I believe Bernie is on shaky ground on ever getting it done.

Note: IF we compare Bernie's goals to MOST of the other commitments that the other candidates are promising, THEY in many cases don't have a prayer to do what they are proposing (at least he has a prayer).
