I think rongone has a pretty solid grasp and assessment of this, and expressed it very well in posts #3 and #10. Boy, would I like to see these wingnuts threaten war with Iran and re-instate the draft at the same time. Wonder what the reaction would be? (It's a rhetorical question ............ no need to answer that.)

I believe it would result in, once again, the United States ascending to be that that beacon of light atop the mountain that the rest of the world acquiesces to and aspires to be.
