Look at Us
We're falling into the 'Trump Trap'.
Scan the last 10 or 15 entries under the 'politics' thread starters and you'll find most of them revolve around Donald Trump. I'm as guilty as anybody, so I'm not pointing fingers at anyone else. I'm proposing we step back and instead of tying threads into what that bozo said or did, we instead focus on discussions that generate real intellectual examinations of ideas, opinions, and positions on a topic. For me, as a starter, I'm going to take a vacation from even bringing him up or getting involved in a conversation that focuses on that guy. I'm 'Trumped Out'.

I'm proud to say that I've never started any thread having anything to do with Donald Trump. I have responded to several though, including this one. We (the broad use of we, not just this forum), and especially the media, are what fuels Trump and keeps him going. If people would have realized that back in August, 2015 and knocked it off, we wouldn't be in this situation where he is making a serious run at the presidency.

Just as an aside, we have a total of 32 registered users on this site and perhaps another dozen or so of extra onlookers. What we say or post here has little influence outside of our small circle (other than what it might make those here think and/or re-think abouut any topic that surfaces)
It is indeed the fact that Trump generates press and coverage by his persona, That is NOT going away unless he cannot garner the nomination. He is the consumate showman. Better get used to that fact. He likely is not going away anytime soon.

Those aren't necessarily extra onlookers. A lot of them are likely forum members who aren't signed in, just here reading.

True, The Man. I don't usually sign in unless I have something to contribute but I do keep up with the latest posts and conversations. As I've stated here more than once we all can learn from each other whether we agree what has been written or not. Opinions are welcome!

The "bozo" as you call him is leading the republicans with 739 delegates and about 7,800,000 votes so far.
My guess is the people supporting Trump would label Sanders as a "bozo" and Clinton as a criminal for her despicable conduct with her home-brew server.
Everyone here brings a very unique view point to whatever subject we are talking about. That is what I believe keeps the Exchange alive. We have seen that here the last couple weeks in full force. An exchange of ideas and NO post being deleted! Very nice for us who have a different point of view most of the time.
If the Trump discussions are wearing you down just disengage for a while but to call for people not to post Trump material is not a good thing. Like many have said this is just the begging of the election.
