LNP: Drone activity reported at eagle cam nest

What is wrong with people? Harassing the eagle with a drone. I hope they can catch the guy responsible.

LNP: Drone activity reported at eagle cam nest

The Pennsylvania Game Commission is considering making its game lands no-fly zones following reports of drones hovering too close to the Hanover eagle cam nest and harassing geese at the Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area, according to an article from LancasterOnline.

Recently a drone was said to have been flying near the Hanover eagle cam nest, but when game wardens arrived, the drone and its operator had left, the article stated.Multiple instances of drone activity at Middle Creek have been reported, according to the article, including one incident in which three youths were seen using a red light laser pointer to herd snow geese in a field.

The game commission plans to file charges against two people who launched drones at Middle Creek that crossed metal wire designating the boundary of a propagation area, which is off-limits to the public. One person flew a drone near the park's boat launch, and another prompted an investigation after posting drone video footage on Facebook, the article stated.

With the proliferation of drones in toy stores, etc we will be seeing more and more annoying (and illegal) uses of them.

Consumer drones should never have been allowed in the market place.  We've yet to see the first airliner full of passengers go down because of an idiot and his/her drone but there have been several very close ones.  Any item allowed up in the air besides kites is asking for trouble and we're now seeing that prediction come true.
