I kind of figured this was only a matter of time, protesters would start to attend Trump rallies in the hopes of escalating things and getting it shut down, which wouldn't be hard since some of Trump's supporters seem short-tempered. Now that one was shut down, I think odds are good they will try to disrupt more events in order to "cancel them". Security is going to need to be increased for all his rallies.
Chicago (CNN)Donald Trump's campaign rally in Chicago on Friday was postponed amid growing security concerns. The announcement, which came amid large protests both inside and outside the event at The University of Illinois, comes amid heightened concerns about violence at the GOP front-runner's rallies.

In all my many, many years of presidential campaigns I do not remember anything such as this. Trump has stirred the anger and emotions of far too many Americans who are now looking to him to rescue or save them somehow from their ill-conceived place is life. American is becoming a nation of the ill-informed and poorly educated and it is not pretty.

The whole thing is SAD at SO MANY LEVELS.

Gee, what a surprise .................. the guy has been selling hate, anger, divisiveness, along with showing utter intolerance for those who disagree with him, and encouraging his supporters to come down hard on protesters. You get what you ask for.
For anyone who may defend the Trumpster, I wonder why the other campaigners don't see the same stuff happen during their rallies?

I'm no Trump fan but the guy should be able to hold a campaign rally without disruption.
My recommendation is that if you are anti-Trump, then go phone bank for Bernie, or knock on doors for Hillary, or annoy people for Cruz. But there's no need to try and antagonize Trump supporters just so you can get on TV.

Here's an article worth reading about Donald Trump and his message that led to this predictable end:

Wish I could take credit for this thought, but it is one that I agree with as I've seen the brawl in Chicago played on a loop on CNN this morning....
One upside to Trumpism is that it has put on full display to the nation that cable news is a garbage fire that is threatening to torch America.

Do you think the Bernie Sanders supporters and Black Lives Matters protestors (just about everywhere I saw said this was most of the protestors) bear any responsibility for what happened last night as well?

Yes . . . The same thing goes for the Breitbart (Breitbart for crying out loud) reporter that filed a police report concerning an alleged assault against her by Drumpf's campaign manager at a campaign event. I'm sure she or Bernie, or Rev. Al Sharpton or radical Islamists or somebody else is to blame for the antagonistic tone of Drumpf campaign events.
Look, you have to admit that Drumpf's dismissive and incendiary rhetoric about some groups and individuals at his campaign events encourage his supporters to join in and pile on with vocal taunts and physical attacks. The root cause of the free-for-all attitude of the crowd is Drumpf himself for yelling stuff like: "get him out of here" and "these reporters are the most dishonest people . . . They'll get what they deserve some day", and "I'd like to punch him in the face".

Bottomline for me is this, Brady:
Donald Trump's style is authoritarian. World history is littered with them, and they may have a good run for a while, but they all meet their end and more often than not it's usually violent.
