The big wins in NH by Trump and Sanders were a signal of the anti-establishment feeling in the US for a number of reasons. The question then it begs is IF either of these candidates goes on to win their partys nomination and then the general election. Then what.
Mr Trump - albeit an adept businessman, have ANY of his business deals made any difference for the average American? . Do ANY of his plans have any substance ? Is building a wall along the Mexican border a national priority when we have so many other vulnerabilities and things that need fixing ? Will the Presidency for him just be a business venture ? What skills make him capable of dealing with International politics ? Can he be a "uniter" ?
Mr Sanders - has the ear of the younger generation and has a lot of good social programs he would like to implement, but at what cost. Many of the existing social programs today are facing an uncertain future. If they cannot be fixed and managed, how can we add more ? Can he mobilize support IF elected President in a Congress to actually implement any of these plans ? Does he have the foreign policy expertise to deal with what is happening outside the US ?
It would be interesting if EITHER of these men became our next President, just WHO they would choose for their advisors in key areas as well as their supporting staff (ie Sec of State, etc)
The US voter will have a lot to think about as the future elections take place. There is SO MUCH at stake (as always).
