And a national primary would guarantee that only the most well funded candidates get elected because the era of retail politics would be over.

I think the funded issue is a big part of the equation today the way primary's are. Usually if you have money you can play if not....... I think looking at a "primary day" for the entire nation would be positive way to move.

Just a little food for thought. Having a National Primary Day could actually make the "entry" costs higher for and up-and-coming candidate. They would have to raise enough money to be totally competitive in all the states at the same time.
