Looking in the mirror & not believing what you see

I think this is a good article concerning dysfunctional partisan politics in D.C.

"Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
There's a battle outside ragin'
It'll soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changing' "

Re: Looking in the mirror & not believing what you see

Not surprisingly, for much of the speech he blamed conservatives’ own sins on progressives, Democrats, and Barack Obama. That has become a familiar refrain — It’s their fault that we’ve become such monsters!

I read the piece twice, and I still don't get what Ryan is talking about, especially the quote I copied.  Frankenstein creates a monster and blames the people in the village?
