Considering the growing feeling of the public dislike for organized politics, you would think his libertarian pitch would have had more of a following. Somehow he (as his father) failed to connect to the wider spectrum of the American voters who are looking for some real change. It points to perhaps what people really are interested in changing in America today vs what some are pitching.

Jeez . . . It's hard to believe that Rant, with his back room, behind the scenes maneuvering, didn't appeal to a larger portion of the electorate. His public libertarian persona that urged for lessening government interference in our lives, was not able to overshadow his Washington D.C. backstabbing Frank Underwood personality.

I was also surprised that Paul did not get more support.
Perhaps the rise of ISIS and the terrorist attacks in Paris and here made Paul's libertarian argument less appealing as people were much more concerned about security than privacy?

I think he knows there is a very small chance that he would be successful in his bid for the White House so it's time for him to concentrate on winning his reelection to the Senate.

Add Santorum to the list!
Santorum dropping out of GOP race: report
The former Pennsylvania senator is slated to make two announcements Wednesday night during an appearance on Fox News, according to host Greta Van Susteren. Santorum, who was the GOP presidential runner-up in 2012, took 11th place with just 1 percent support in the Iowa caucuses Monday after winning the state during his previous White House bid.
Santorum's campaign had announced he was postponing a 46-county tour in South Carolina that was supposed to start Wednesday.
