Re: Looks Like the Trumpster Might Bail Out of the Debate

So will those then remaining standing decide to address what people care about vs trying to attack Trump (or each other). I am going with the latter !

It is a real opportunity for one or more candidates to shine, if they can seize it.

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

I'm surprised that anyone still refers to these sideshows as political debates.  They are far from debates.

Upside of Trump sitting this one out?

John Kasich getting more time to speak and win over the hearts and minds of America

I think you're going to see a lot of different United States of America over the next three, four, or eight years. - President Donald J. Trump

The downside is, no one will be watching the debate with Trump not in it.

The proof will be in the ratings, but I think there will be plenty who do watch.

I hope you're correct.  I know I won't be watching, not because of Trump not in it, but because I don't watch any of the debates.  I don't want to break my routine.

I'm gonna watch the beginning. No Philly sports on tonight and it's always fairly entertaining.

I watched for as long as I had the stomach to.  Gov. Christie seems to have an intense dislike of Hilliary Clinton and it comes out in nearly every response he makes.

I'm with you, flowergirl.  I tried, I really did, but I began to get so damn depressed, I switched over to Shark Tank.

I'll summarize what I saw and heard:  ISIS, ISIS, ISIS, bomb this, bomb that, Mexicans, borders, immigrants, ISIS, ISIS, immigrants, fear, hate, ISIS, bomb that, hate, fear, refugees, ISIS, security, ISIS, carpet bomb this, ISIS, fear, anger, borders, Hillary Clinton, repeal this, repeal that, ISIS, Hillary Clinton, fear, and on and on.  I couldn't take it.
