Called DirectTV to cancel service.  I was offered a $20.00 reduction in monthly charge for 12 months and when current contract expires in 3/2016 I will not be under any contract and can call and cancel in 2017.  I accepted their offer and have it in the calendar for 2017 to cancel then.  Beginning with payment in January my bill will be $43. per month until 2017.  Not happy but happier than the current arrangement.
