What the Hell is with This?
LONDON — As Mohammed Tariq Mahmood sat in the departure lounge of London’s Gatwick Airport last week, he was surrounded by giddy children, ecstatic for the 11-hour flight that would ferry them to Disneyland.
“Mickey Mouse – I’m looking forward to seeing you tomorrow,” Mahmood’s 10-year-old niece scribbled in her diary, alongside a colorful illustration complete with oversized ears. “I’ve got to go now. We’re getting on the plane.”
But they never did. A border control officer, on orders from Washington, intervened, Mahmood said, telling him and his brother that their family of 11 had been barred from the flight.

Look on the bright side. If he ever makes it here, he can buy as many AR15s as he wants!

A century or so ago academia was propogating the myth of the "noble savage" and the press eagerly assisted in that effort.
Now some have substituted the "peaceful Muslim"....and the press once again eagerly assists.

I really can't take this at face value. There has to be more to this story. Just the fact that that they are blaming Donald Trump in the article, when no one has elected Donald Trump to anything, tells me this article is bogus, just a Donald Trump hit piece. Yawn.

It isn't bogus to the man who was denied entry into the country.
Here's the story without a Trump attack.
If he was denied at the counter of a gun shop, the same folks shrugging this off would be demanding an explanation.
We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

Are you suggesting that no Muslim is peaceful?

I'm not suggesting that we regard "no Muslim as peaceful"....just be cautious that we do not buy into the new myth that "most Muslims are peaceful" and its corollary that "we really don't need to screen Muslims because most of them are peaceful".

Hey this is the media being the media! All they want to do is visit Mickey.
Maybe the terror watch list was wrong.
But the big spin is Trump had something to do with it. Trump got homeland security to stop a trip to Disneyland.
The media will be in convulsions when he is President!

Do you have some data on what percentage of muslims are peaceful?
