We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

Very interesting.  I can see why people might question the photo because it was so perfect artisticly.    You couldn't compose a more dramatic composition.  To think that this was a random photo, taken on the spur of the moment is simply amazing.

Capturing a photo such as that one is being in the right place at the right time--in addition to being a great photographer.  Some times one gets lucky and other times unbelievable lucky.

Does anyone know if the film of the same flag-raising was done at the same time the photo was shot?


If you make yourself miserable trying to make others happy that means everyone is miserable.
