Re: Christian Terrorism

Yep. We here in the U. S. have our own going on, also in the name of god.

Re: Christian Terrorism

This is absolutely disgusting.

Pro-Lifers Just Showed Us How Not to Respond to the Planned Parenthood Attack
Pro-lifers take to the internet to celebrate murder.

We live in a time in which decent and otherwise sensible people are surrendering too easily to the hectoring of morons or extremists.

Re: Christian Terrorism

Un-freakin' believeable.

You know, maybe it isn't.  There is a wing within our country that would like to turn us into a Christian version of ISIS.  Stop the world, I want to get off.

Re: Christian Terrorism

Here's more to think about:

Today’s shooting at a Planned Parenthood clinic is a milestone — a white male terrorist harmed more people today than Syrian refugees have in the last 14 years since 9/11.

Re: Christian Terrorism

They were talking about this on the news shows yesterday.  Someone said when people are gunned down, frightened and threatened by someone who uses violence for their political goals, the person is a terrorist.  Many of the talking heads were...."duhhhhhh, I never thought of it that way but it's true."  They were considering calling our own homegrown shooters terrorists, which is what they are.

Re: Christian Terrorism

By all accounts, the shooter was another run of the mill loner with unseen mental issues. His ex-wife said that he was an art dealer, has a college degree, and wasn't particularly political or religious. His last two homes were out in the woods and without running water or electric. He was a guy who liked to live off the grid.

He had a few run-ins with the law. A minor domestic dispute with his wife, for which he was never charged. He apparently shot his neighbor's dog with a pellet gun, but wasn't convicted, and was charged with being a Peeping Tom.

His neighbors in Colorado, all of whom lived in this type of "out of the way" setup said he would pass out anti-Obama literature, but would only say that if they wanted to talk about it, he was available.

So the guy snapped and the innocent public was once again terrorized by a nut with a gun. One of the people killed was an Iraq War veteran. He was the second Iraq veteran killed in a mass shooting in Colorado in the past month.

And nothing will change. This is the country we want.

Re: Christian Terrorism

All of what you say may be true, Lager, but who fires these guys up?  I mean, abortion has been the law of the land for years and Planned Parenthood clinics have been around for a long time.  Now suddenly it has become a hotly contested issue?

Just who is fanning the flames and triggering nutjobs like this guy to do what he did?  We might draw a parallel to those who fire up people to carry out terrorist attacks in shopping malls, mosques, churches, and cafes.
