Obiturary unusual request
Scott Emig died last Saturday. He is the last of the original Dover funeral home Emig family, founder in 1928 by his father George H. Emig. Although the funeral home continues operating under the name Emig it was sold by Scott in 1992. In Scott's obituary is a most unusual request for a memorial contribution--"to be made to PennDot for building sound barriers, or your favorite charity. HUH?????
